Narcotic Treatment Programs
Narcotic Treatment Programs (NTPs) provide medication assisted treatment, such as methadone and buprenorphine, to those suffering from opioid use disorder (OUD).
DEA recognizes the need to ensure that medications for OUD are readily and safely available to those who need them, especially in rural areas. NTPs dispense medications used for maintenance and/or detoxification treatment, as well as provide counseling services.
Narcotic Treatment Program Video Series
